Exactly 9 months ago BTC was at $65k

I often see posts or comments about coins and it prices exactly 1 year ago. People use it as an argument to proof that prices have risen enormously and that you should zoom out. That 1 year comparison to me feels completely arbitrary and says absolutely nothing about a coins performance. Yes, if you stepped in at exactly 1 year ago, you are up and well in the green (if you hodled).

However, let's have a look at BTC's performance and use the same type of comparison. Exactly 9 months ago (which is not far of from 1 year), BTC was at $65k. We are now at $49k which means if you bought BTC exactly 9 months ago, you would well be in the red.

The fact that a coin is up x% from 1 year ago, says absolutely nothing about people's individual situations. Please respect that. Don't tell people to shut up and zoom out when they complain. They might have stepped in at ATH, in that case a coin being up on a yearly basis doesn't matter one bit.

submitted by /u/Chesterbobby
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
