Some people on this sub seem to love praising Litecoin but it has underperformed Bit
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>If you want to buy an altcoin over Bitcoin, you have to remember that you're going for a project that will <strong>outperform Bitcoin</strong>. Litcoin on the other hand, has consistently underperformed the entire market. </p> <p>Looking at LTC/BTC, Litcoin has not put in a new all time high against Bitcoin since 2013. From it's peak of around 0.5 LTC/BTC, Litcoin is now down almost 99% against Bitcoin, even with it's USD valuation going up over time. Just this year, LTC/BTC has dropped from around 0.005 to 0.003. That's shockingly bad for an altcoin.</p> <p>If that's not enough to concern you about Litcoin's historically poor returns, compare it to Ethereum. <strong>Just this past year, Litcoin is down around 90% against the valuation of Ethereum.</strong> </p> <p>The moral of the story is, if your altcoin isn't beating Bitcoin, then why are you buying something that's more volatile and will give you worse returns?
