There were 26k blockchain projects launched in 2016 — 92% are now dead

Don’t be surprised if you lose everything.</p> <p>A <a href="https://thenextweb.com/news/deloitte-blockchain-26000-projects/amp">report by Deloitte</a> found that in 2016 there were over 26,000 blockchain-based projects launched on GitHub.</p> <p>The report shows that by 2017, only 8% of those 26,000 projects we’re still active in terms of development.</p> <p>Today there are 16,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap.
