Politicians should not hold Stocks or Crypto

Politicians should not hold any stocks or cryptocurrencies, no matter the size of the investment.

Would a politician pass legislation which affects their investment in a bad way? No

In the past U.S. senators have offloaded millions of dollars in stock shortly before the US markets crashed in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Just after they received confidential briefings affecting their investment and the virus response.

While I appreciate Crypto supporting politicians, I believe their investment into it compromises their integrity, just like stock investments.

This just feels like they are doing politics for their close friends and investments, and not the people.

submitted by /u/Dwez1337
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
